L'homme est mort.
Mais courbé, il marche ;
Insoucieux, sur ses épaules il porte
la crasse des siècles,
puanteur de son espèce.
Tristesse, colère et solitude,
comme unique gain.
Tristesse, colère et solitude,
car ici tout est vain.
L'homme est mort,
il n'est rien.
La mort, dernière lueur, à ses cotés
lui montre le chemin des exaltés.
Elle qui fait se prosterner la vie,
guidera ses pas vers la nuit.
Enfin retentit sa dernière heure.
L’obscurité sera sa dernière demeure.
Désormais, plus rien ne reste,
hormis le néant.

Abigail Williams has had a weird career with hiatuses and lineup changes, but they have finally perfected their sound on Walk Beyond the Dark. This album has such a refreshing and natural feeling that makes it one of the top atmospheric black metal albums of recent years. Ryan

Listening to this album for the first time and love it already. Reminds me of early Anathema and early Agalloch. Just my cup o' tea. Tough to pick a favourite track - they're all phenomenal. Full marks for the cover too - perfect. MetalMarkie
